Job description
Overview

We\'re currently supporting Sussex pathology services to secure x5 Biomedical Scientists (Band 6-7) across Blood Sciences — with work available at RSCH, PRH, Worthing, or SRH, depending on your experience.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) running from 29th September 2025 to 29th September 2026, with a starting rota of Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm. Once trained, you\'ll move into a broader shift pattern including late shifts, nights, and weekends.

Pay

The pay rate will depend on experience:

  • Band 6 - £26.55 per hour
  • Band 7 - £31.45 per hour
Qualifications / Experience
  • We\'re looking for Biomedical Scientists with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Chemistry Automation - Roche or Abbott analysers
  • Special Chemistry - Toxicology, Mass Spec, HPLC, Electrophoresis
  • Haematology & Blood Transfusion - Sysmex, Abbott, Stago, Werfen, Ortho Vision analysers
  • Training Officer background highly desirable
  • Familiarity with WinPath and Q-Pulse systems is essential

Work location will be confirmed closer to the start date based on your skillset and experience. You\'ll be joining a supportive pathology team within one of the region\'s leading NHS Trusts.
