A healthcare provider in England is seeking applications for Specialist Biomedical Scientist roles in their Pathology departments. Candidates must be HCPC registered with relevant experience, capable of working varied shifts. Responsibilities involve rotating through departments, achieving workload targets, and ensuring diagnostic accuracy. This permanent, full-time position offers a salary between £31,049 and £46,580 annually, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.
The Pathology departments at University Hospitals North Tees and Hartlepool (NTH) and South Tees Hospitals (STH) are working collaboratively to develop a joint service called Tees Valley Pathology (TVP) with services being delivered on all hospital sites.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with appropriate experience, knowledge and skills to join our scientific team and participate in the delivery of services provided by Blood Transfusion and Haematology as part of the TVP service operating out of University Hospital North Tees and Hartlepool Hospital, Stockton on Tees, Hartlepool Hospital, The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
Candidates for the Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) roles should be HCPC state registered, hold an IBMS Specialist Portfolio and have experience of working various shifts across both core and non‑core hours in their chosen discipline.
Depending on the level of qualifications and degree of experience from applications for the Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) posts, consideration will also be given to applicants who are newly qualified HCPC candidates and who may be working towards these qualifications and thus be applicable for employment at Registered Biomedical Scientist (Band 5) level.
