A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Biomedical Scientist specializing in Biochemistry. This role involves providing scientific services for clinical diagnosis and requires post-registration biochemistry experience. Candidates should have HCPC registration and the ability to work unsupervised. The position offers a fixed-term contract for 12 months with an annual salary range of £31,049 – £37,796.

The Directorate of Biochemistry spans four sites, each equipped with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including the largest fully automated Roche tracking system in Europe.
Our specialist chemistry sections at Oxford Road and Wythenshawe boast internationally renowned specialised assays with Waters, Thermo and Sciex mass‑spectrometry instruments and other techniques such as HPLC, RIA, ELISA, calculus analysis and other manual assays.
The post holder will act as a registered biomedical scientist, providing scientific services to patients as an aid to clinical diagnosis. The successful candidate will participate in the 24/7 out‑of‑hours rota and undertake a wide range of complex analytical procedures, performing manual, semi‑automated and automated tests and commenting on and validating results in line with ISO 15189.
Suitable candidates will have post‑registration biochemistry experience and experience working out of hours.
