Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking two roles in Guildford to support sample preparation and processing for analysis. The team will prep and register specimens, enter data in LIMS, and assist with equipment maintenance while following SOPs and safety policies.

The position emphasizes accurate data entry, collaboration with Biomedical Scientists, and adherence to quality management to support UKAS accreditation and continuous service improvements.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (English, Maths and a Science subject) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or related discipline is desirable.
• Experience in a hospital, private laboratory or scientific setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, health and safety practices and handling of biological samples.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and register patient specimens in line with procedures.
• Prepare samples for analysis and enter data in LIMS.
• Support Biomedical Scientists with sample prep and equipment.
• Operate laboratory equipment following SOPs and dispose of waste safely.
• Maintain clean and well‑organised work areas and uphold quality standards.
