Job summary

Insight Surgery is recruiting a Biomedical Engineer to convert medical imaging data into patient-specific surgical guides and devices. You will work with surgeons and manufacturing teams to take concepts through delivery, using planning tools that enhance outcomes.

The role focuses on 3D modeling, CAD design, and collaboration with clinical staff, with hybrid working in the UK and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering.
• Experience using enterprise-level segmentation software.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and orthopaedic surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Project manage end-to-end design workflow, ensuring ISO 13485 compliance.
• Use validated segmentation software to convert scan data into 3D models for cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons and clinical teams to deliver patient-specific medical devices.
• Use CAD to design solutions for a range of clinical indications.
• Lead case discussions and communicate concepts for on-time delivery.
• Prepare design files for 3D printing and post-processing/inspection.
• Attend surgical cases to support surgeons.
