Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a hands on and motivated Plant Supervisor to join a leading renewable energy business in Somerset. You will support the daily operations and maintenance of biomass and combined heat and power (CHP) systems. This is a practical, physically active role, ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical work and is looking to develop a long term career in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance
• Conduct routine maintenance
• Assist external contractors
• Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge (pumps, valves, engines)
• Physically fit and able to work in industrial and outdoor environments
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks
• Willingness to work weekends on a rota basis
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
• Experience with biomass boilers or CHP units (desirable)
• Electrical awareness, understanding of safety systems and interlocks (desirable)
• Reliable, punctual, proactive, and safety-conscious
• Eager to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector
