Job summary

Seras UK is recruiting for a Heavy Plant and Machinery Operative in Widnes. Immediate start, permanent contract, with long-term work in renewable energy waste wood processing and biomass fuel production. The role involves safe operation of plant, ensuring quality, and training others as required.

Shifts are 84 hours per fortnight (days & nights). The company offers a benefits package and opportunities for progression within a fast-growing, environmentally conscious business.

Qualifications

• Experience with waste wood processing is preferred.
• Willingness to undertake safety training and follow procedures.
• Ability to operate machinery safely while meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by promptly reporting all accidents and near misses.
• Adhere to environmental and quality standards and site procedures.
• Collaborate with team to achieve daily production KPIs.
• Safely operate driving machinery after training and authorization.
• Ensure site traffic management processes support safe operations.
• Provide training and support to colleagues on relevant operational areas.
• Maintain product quality to meet customer specifications.
• Conduct daily machinery inspections for readiness and safety.
• Load vehicles accurately following established procedures.
