Job summary

Choice Teachers is seeking a Biology Technician for an immediate start at a Ware school to support the Biology department with practical and laboratory-based work. You will help prepare experiments and ensure resources are ready for lessons, enabling smooth day-to-day teaching.

The role focuses on hands-on laboratory support, health and safety, and accurate equipment setup, with responsibilities closely aligned to teachers and the science team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Biology.
• Biology degree or relevant scientific qualification preferred.
• Laboratory or practical scientific experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and preparing Biology experiments and practical activities.
• Preparing equipment, materials and specimens for lessons.
• Supporting Biology teachers with practical experiments and demonstrations.
• Ensuring laboratories and equipment are clean, organised and ready for use.
• Maintaining appropriate health and safety standards.
• Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the Biology department.
