Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a passionate Biology Teacher for a Good-rated secondary school in Aylesbury. You will deliver engaging Biology lessons across KS3–KS4, with KS5 experience welcomed, and contribute to the science department's ongoing development.

Start ASAP or January 2026, with a flexible Full-time/Part-time arrangement on a temporary-to-permanent basis. QTS required, strong subject knowledge, and excellent classroom management to support student growth.

Qualifications

Start Date: ASAP / January 2026

Contract: Full-time/Part-time (Temporary to Permanent)

Salary: £29,344 - £44,919 (MPS/UPS)

What you'll be doing
  • Deliver engaging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed).

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data effectively to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of the Biology curriculum and wider Science department initiatives.
  • Support extracurricular opportunities such as STEM activities, ecology clubs, science fairs, and educational trips.
