YouSeq Ltd in Winchester is seeking a driven Bioinformatics Developer with a strong background in NGS to join our expanding team. You will design and optimize pipelines for large-scale genomic data analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate complex biological questions into computational solutions.

Experience with exome sequencing and wet-lab basics are a plus. The role emphasizes practical analytics, robust software development, and communication of results to diverse

Formación

• PhD (or exceptional MSc) in computational biology, genetics, bioinformatics, bioengineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• Experience developing bioinformatics pipelines using Nextflow; proficiency in Python, R, Bash, or similar.
• Proven track record in analysing, visualising, and interpreting NGS/genomic data.
• Strong organisational/time-management skills to prioritise effectively and drive projects to completion.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsabilidades

• Design, update, and maintain pipelines to automate the identification of variants from large-scale sequencing data.
• Assist in the planning of studies leveraging genetic and genomic data to answer biological questions related to disease risk.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify needs and address them using genomics, sequencing, or bioinformatics.
• Follow cutting-edge advancements in genomics and apply them in-house.
• Partner with team members to improve computational methods and develop easy-to-use analytical workflows
