A leading university in the UK is seeking a Core Facility Bioinformatician to provide bioinformatics expertise. The role involves working with diverse research teams to analyze large-scale omics datasets and develop computational workflows. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience in computational biology. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the possibility of hybrid working.
Grade UE07: £41,064 to £48,822 per annum, pro rata if part time
CMVM / Institute of Genetics and Cancer
Full time: 35 hours per week
Open ended: permanent
The Core Facility Bioinformatician will provide bioinformatics expertise and support to researchers across the institute. As a member of the established IGC Bioinformatics Analysis Core (BAC), the role involves working collaboratively with diverse research teams to develop computational workflows, analyze large-scale omics datasets, and deliver high-quality insights that drive cutting-edge biomedical discoveries.
As a Core Facility Bioinformatician, this role will play a pivotal role in enabling ground breaking research at the IGC. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of computational and experimental science, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to address fundamental questions in genetics and disease.
We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is £41,064 to £48,822 per annum.
