Job summary

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a leading organisation in the renewable energy sector to recruit a Biogas Maintenance Engineer for one of its UK anaerobic digestion facilities.

You will carry out planned maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, manage CMMS records, liaise with contractors, support operations, and help ensure safety and regulatory compliance across site activities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification required.
• Proven maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using the CMMS.
• Respond to plant breakdowns with fault finding and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across process plant equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs in CMMS.
• Liaise with external contractors and coordinate specialist maintenance activities.
• Support operations with troubleshooting and provide on-site assistance.
