Job summary

Vincere is seeking a Biodiversity Technical Director to lead a growing ESG advisory practice in London, shaping strategy and winning work with major lenders and developers.

You will advise on biodiversity risk across complex international projects, lead critical habitat assessments and develop Biodiversity Action Plans and Offset Management Plans, ensuring on-the-ground outcomes for nature and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience with project finance and lender-side E&S.
• In-depth knowledge of IFC Performance Standard 6.
• Hands-on leadership of critical habitat assessments.
• Track record writing Biodiversity Action Plans and Biodiversity Offset Management Plans.
• International experience, preferably in emerging markets.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Commercial instinct and ability to win work.
• Collaborative and confident with senior clients.
• Knowledge of other lender frameworks (Equator Principles, World Bank ESS6, EBRD, AfDB) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape strategy and growth of the biodiversity practice.
• Advise lenders and developers on biodiversity risk across international projects.
• Lead habitat assessments and plans delivering on-ground results.
• Be the trusted voice with banks and developers' senior executives.
• Win new work through proposals, client pitches and industry profile.
• Build, coach and inspire a high-performing team.
