Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is recruiting a Biodiversity Data and Projects Officer to support BMERC. You will work with biodiversity data, perform data processing and analysis, and support environmental records services and data exchange agreements.

You will manage projects, conduct species surveys, and develop GIS resources for recorder groups, requiring strong project management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental data handling and biodiversity recording.
• Knowledge of species taxonomy and identification methods.
• Ability to manage projects and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of the Orca database and data lifecycle.
• Collate, import, quality assure, verify, report and analyse data.
• Deliver projects including species surveys and GIS mapping resources.
• Coordinate with volunteers and stakeholders for successful delivery.
