Job summary

IQVIA’s Medicines Evaluation Unit (MEU) in the UK is recruiting a Bioanalytical Scientist to perform immunoassay-based analyses and lead studies within a hospital-based research setting. The role focuses on assay validation, data interpretation, and coordinating multiple labs to deliver timely results.

The successful candidate will manage resources, draft manuals, and present findings to sponsors, contributing to a high-autonomy, collaborative environment with access to cutting-edge in-house

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience in regulated laboratory environments is essential.
  • Practical immunoassay analytics with validation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and handling hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform immunoassay-based analytical procedures for sample analysis and study delivery.
  • Act as study lead with project management and resource planning.
  • Perform routine data analysis to verify procedures meet expectations.
  • Coordinate labs and ensure timely assay production and sample transport.
  • Draft study reference manuals and training documents.
  • Present project deliverables to clients/sponsors.

Job Overview:

Responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures and experimental execution in support of sample analysis and validation.


Performs immunoassay-based analytical procedures in support of sample analysis, assay validation, and study delivery.


Will act as study lead, including project management which will include planning of resources to complete all work within a specifies timeline of specific studies assigned to you.


Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations and that the results are within acceptable tolerances.


Responsible for coordinating any other labs that might be involved in the studies to make sure they are producing assays on time, samples are transported correctly, QC of samples.


Will draft study reference manuals and various other raining documentation.


Will present back to clients/sponsors on project deliverables.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Typically requires >2 years of experience in regulated laboratory environment

  • Practical experience of immunoassay-based analytical techniques, including assay troubleshooting, data interpretation and validation activities

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
