Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a BIM Technician to join our Water team to deliver designs across water, wastewater, energy and civils infrastructure projects in the UK. You will produce 2D drawings and 3D models, manage information and work closely with engineers and designers.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civils 3D and REVIT, plus experience with data environments (Bentley ProjectWise/Autodesk Construction Cloud), is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD Civils 3D and REVIT for 2D/3D design and data management.
• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud as a common data environment.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams and in water/civils projects.

Role description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a BIM Technician to join our Water team to deliver designs on a wide range of projects within the water, wastewater, energy and civils infrastructure market sector.

Role accountabilities

• Delivery of allocated technical assignments, work elements and work packages and other design activities
• Undertaking technical tasks in accordance with the Company’s quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls
• Provision of high quality design outputs such as 2D drawings 3D modelling and information management elements.
• Is highly capable and proficient within own area of expertise and specifically in the use of AutoCAD Civils 3D, and REVIT
• Self-checking / vetting all outputs before issue
• Maintain good relationships internally and externally

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant technical qualifications and/or training
• Practical and demonstrable experience in use of AutoCAD Civils 3D & REVIT, including use of sub-assemblies and data shortcuts
• Experience working with Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud as a common data environment.
• Ability to understand interdisciplinary interfacing, resolution of clashes and creating clash free designs.
• Have a sound knowledge of the industry, knowledge of designing and maintaining assets and have up to date on knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team focusing on projects in regulated or non-regulated water business and/or civils engineering infrastructure
• Demonstrable skills in concept and detailed design skills.
