Job summary

Mott MacDonald is looking for a talented MEP BIM Technician to join our Nuclear, Defence and Civil division in the UK. You will produce and maintain BIM models, drawings and documentation, collaborating with engineers and BIM professionals to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will ensure models meet BIM standards, assist with QA and coordinate MEP services across complex projects, while benefiting from our hybrid working policy and

The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Overview of the role

Our Nuclear, Defence and Civil division is growing, and we are looking for a talented MEP BIM Technician to join our team.

Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will support the delivery of projects across the nuclear, defence, energy and infrastructure sectors. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while contributing to the production of high-quality BIM models and engineering deliverables that support some of the UK’s most complex and challenging projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and develop MEP BIM models using Revit in accordance with project requirements and BIM standards
• Prepare drawings, schedules and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and BIM professionals to support coordinated project delivery
• Ensure models and information deliverables comply with agreed standards, methods and procedures
• Support the coordination of MEP services within multidisciplinary project teams
• Assist with model reviews and quality assurance activities prior to technical review
• Prepare schedules, specifications and reports to support project delivery
• Undertake site surveys and assist in responding to technical queries
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital delivery processes and ways of working
• Proficiency in Revit and experience producing MEP BIM models
• Understanding of MEP service coordination and construction methodologies
• Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous learning
• Experience working on projects within the nuclear, defence, energy or infrastructure sectors
• Awareness of BIM standards and information management principles
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environment
