Job summary

AJ Digital seeks a proactive BIM Technician with strong Revit skills and experience modelling from point cloud data to join a dynamic team. You will produce architectural and structural 3D models, extract data from scans, and collaborate across project teams to enhance workflows and deliver high-quality drawings.

Ideal candidates embody independent working style, strong communication, and a passion for leveraging new technologies to improve efficiency within BIM environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Revit Technician or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling and documentation.
• Experience modelling at different LOD/LOI across RIBA stages.
• Experience modelling from point cloud data.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in remote or office-based environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and manage Architectural and Structural 3D models and documentation using Revit.
• Model and extract data from point cloud surveys to produce detailed drawings.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality models.
• Implement and explore new technologies to enhance modelling processes and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Revit models or point cloud data.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and software updates.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, and manage Architectural and Structural 3D models and documentation using Revit.
• Accurately model and extract data from point cloud surveys to produce detailed architectural and engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality models and documentation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Revit models or point cloud data.

• Demonstrated experience modeling from point cloud data.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and practices.

• Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote or office-based environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Desirable

• Familiarity with additional software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Experience in implementing technology-driven solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
• Process optimisation using software such as Dynamo / Python
• Point cloud registration using Cyclone Register
