Job summary

Hoare Lea in Bristol is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead production, coordination and management of models across varied projects. You will work with minimal supervision to ensure models meet industry standards and project requirements, supporting BIM reviews and information management throughout the project lifecycle.

This varied role involves contributing to BIM processes, training, and coordination with internal teams and external partners, while supporting resource allocation and BIM

Qualifications

• Experience in BIM modelling and coordination within a building services or consultancy environment.
• Good understanding of model coordination, deliverables and model health monitoring.
• Experience working with external models, CDE/ACC environments and BIM-related documentation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of standard activities.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
• Interest in developing BIM processes, automation and ways of working.
• Ability to support and mentor others, including contributing to training and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Review and support BIM deliverables, external models, change review drawings and related documentation.

• Contribute to information management, bid support, automation opportunities and wider BIM process improvement.
• Engage with wider team culture, firmwide initiatives and internal events.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a BIM Specialist to play a leading role in the production, coordination and management of models across a range of projects.

Working with minimal supervision, you will help ensure models meet industry standards and project requirements, while supporting model coordination, model health, deliverables and information management across the project lifecycle. You will also contribute to BIM reviews, support the management of external data, and help improve BIM processes and documentation.

This is a varied role that will see you working closely with colleagues across the business, contributing to resource support, internal and external BIM meetings, training activity and wider firm initiatives.

In this key and varied role, you can expect to:
