Job summary

AethelRa Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking a BIM Modeler to join our client’s team in Penarth, United Kingdom.

The role focuses on producing quality shop drawings and BIM models with minimal supervision, including HVAC/piping and equipment drawings. Responsibilities include generating 2D drawings from BIM, maintaining records, managing the BIM Register per ISO standards, and coordinating with other trades to ensure accurate, on-schedule submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of space planning and design coordination experience.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Isometric drawings, LOD 350, and Plant 3D is a plus.
• Good planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D drawings from BIM models per standards and schedules.
• Maintain records of models, drawings, clashes, RFIs, etc.
• BIM Register upkeep following ISO standards and procedures.
• Develop 2D/3D schematic diagrams using AutoCAD and in-house tools.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure accurate shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with Shop Drawings SOP and contractual scope.
• Generate clash reports based on matrix guidance.
• Work under Project Manager supervision.

Job description

We are seeking a BIM Modeler to join our client’s dynamic team.

Responsibilities

To manage and coordinate the production of quality shop drawings and BIM models in all projects assigned with minimal supervision. He/ She must be able to carry out HVAC/piping, equipment, pumps, dryer, filter & valves related drawings will be added advantages.

• To produce 2Ddrawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Project or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and that the drawing submission schedule is achieved.
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, etc.
• BIM Register following the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensuring all the drawings are completed on schedule or promptly.
• Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
• The secondary role includes developing technical plans, sections, details, and 2D/3Dschematic diagrams using AutoCAD and in-house software.
• Accountable for the fluent/organized presentation, content correctness/accuracy of shop drawings production in form, fit, and function through thorough coordinates with other trades and services in 2D/ 3D submission.
• Responsible for ensuring full compliance with the company’s Shop Drawings Standard Operation Procedure, including adherence to design provision/scope of work according to contractual obligations.
• Generate a clash report based on the Matrix provided
• Work under the supervision of the Project Manager and perform the work tasks assigned.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Preferably with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in space planning and design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within engineering design consulting business.
• Having good knowledge of software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in Isometric drawings, LOD 350, and Plant 3D will be added advantages
• Good planning skills in managing modeling and drafting work.
• Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within a team environment when required.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates with construction field experience is an added advantage.
