About Us

Jefferson Sheard Architects is an RIBA chartered, award winning architectural studio established in 1957 – known for delivering iconic, innovative, sustainable, and high-quality design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. We work in both the private and public sectors – delivering schemes in residential, healthcare, transport, education, commercial, blue‑light and urban design and master planning.

BIM Manager

We are seeking a skilled BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, ensuring best practices are applied across all project stages and teams.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables
  • Develop and Implement BIM Standards: Maintain and enhance the practice’s BIM protocols, templates, and workflows aligned with industry standards.
  • Project BIM Coordination: Oversee and manage BIM execution plans (BEP) across multiple projects, ensuring model integrity, data accuracy, and collaborative workflows.
  • Model Quality Assurance: Conduct regular model audits, clash detections, and quality control reviews to ensure design and technical compliance.
  • Technical Support & Training: Provide hands‑on BIM training, mentorship, and support to project teams, ensuring effective BIM adoption and skill development.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless digital coordination and information exchange.
  • Technology Management: Evaluate and implement new digital tools and technologies that enhance project delivery and studio efficiency.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Produce BIM progress reports, manage data deliverables, and ensure documentation is up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Qualities & Skills Required
  • Proven experience as a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator within an architectural or multidisciplinary practice.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM collaboration platforms (including BIM 360).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and industry best practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail in managing complex digital models.
  • Ability to lead BIM strategies across large‑scale and technically complex projects.
  • Effective communicator, capable of liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in data management tools is advantageous.
