Job description
Principal Engineer

As a Principal Engineer for our dynamic and growing team, you will play a crucial role in architecting the development and maintenance of our applications, ensuring optimal system structures, efficiency, and adherence to industry best practices.

  • Architect and design software systems and application architecture.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt, security, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to unblock and improve the current backlog.
  • Recommend and implement technical developments and software to enhance operational capability of IT systems.
  • Influence tooling and direction of travel within Peoples Partnership by reviewing industry standards.

Hands‑on experience and deep technical knowledge in the following areas:

  • Web technologies: Microsoft .NET, C#, APIs, Azure Functions, Service Bus.
  • Database: SQL / T‑SQL, SQL Server, database design.
  • DevOps: Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code scripting (Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates, PowerShell, AZ‑CLI).
