Job summary

Brownlee Cale Ltd. is seeking an experienced BIM/Design Coordinator for a hands-on, site-based role on a major data centre project.

You will collect and coordinate construction and as-built information, integrating it into the 3D model using Revit, AutoCAD, and N4ce. You will work between the construction team and the digital design environment, coordinating clash detection and information exchange with on-site engineers and main contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience on live construction projects, ideally civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret and work with site engineering, setting out and as-built information.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with site teams and main contractors.
• Previous experience on major data centre or technically complex construction projects would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the on-site Engineering team to collect and coordinate construction and as-built information.
• Take engineering information produced in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D or N4ce and incorporate it into the project's Revit model.
• Use Revit and/or Navisworks to support 3D model coordination, review and information exchange.
• Manage clash detection, identify design or construction conflicts and coordinate their resolution with the site team.
• Ensure model information accurately reflects works being delivered on site.
• Prepare and issue coordinated models and supporting information to the main contractor in the required format.
• Liaise directly with Site Engineers, Site Agents and the main contractor's BIM/design teams.
• Maintain model revisions, drawing registers and accurate records of information issued.
• Support the coordination of civil engineering works with other disciplines where required.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced BIM / Design Coordinator to join a specialist civil engineering subcontractor delivering works on a data centre project.

This is a hands-on, site-based role, working directly with the Site Engineers to take engineering and as-built information produced in AutoCAD or N4ce, incorporate it into a coordinated 3D model and issue the required information back to the main contractor.

We need someone who is comfortable working between the construction team and the digital design environment, rather than someone purely focused on design management.

What We're Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of Revit, particularly incorporating engineering information into 3D models.
• Competence using Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to interpret and work with AutoCAD drawings and survey information.
• Familiarity with N4ce would be advantageous.
• Previous experience working on live construction projects, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure.
