We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Billing Controller to join our small, dedicated Finance Team on a 12-month fixed term contract, and play a key role in managing billing and credit control processes during a maternity cover period. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth financial operations, from preparing pupil bills to managing direct debit schemes and maintaining robust credit control.

Responsibilities
Credit Control
  • Monitor receipts and manage the debtor list.
  • Liaise with debtors and legal representatives when necessary.
  • Provide information to solicitors for legal proceedings.
Banking & Payments
  • Process and bank all income, including fee and sundry receipts.
  • Manage direct debit payments and business credit card expenditure.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Billing & Insurance
  • Prepare termly pupil bills and process recharges.
  • Manage pupil insurance lists and submit returns to insurers.
Financial Analysis & Support
  • Carry out accounting reconciliations and analysis.
  • Assist or deputise for other finance team members when required.
