ROLE SUMMARY

We are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Billing Analyst to join our UK Shared Services team in London. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our customer billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and maintaining exceptional financial control standards.

This role is office based, with 4 days in our Mayfair office, and 1 day working from home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner, in line with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Support the onboarding of new schools and acquisitions by configuring billing systems and aligning financial processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Services, Operations, and IT to ensure smooth billing cycles and issue resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, proactively following up on queries with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update billing master data, ensuring completeness and integrity of customer records.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks, including reconciliation of billing ledgers and reporting on billing performance metrics.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and standard operating procedures across the AR function.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project work as required by the wider Finance team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of invoice lifecycle, AR systems, and billing best practices.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in a shared services or international environment is advantageous.
