Job summary

A staffing firm in Glasgow is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for employees, including auditing and liaising with Payroll Administrators. The ideal candidate is required to be bilingual in English and French, with 1-2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.   • Liaise with Payroll Administrators and third parties.
  • Perform month-end tasks and provide reports to Accounting.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process the payroll for salaried and hourly employees using ADP – Performance Pack (People@work, Pay@work and ezLabour Manager).
  • Backup for Union payrolls.
  • Process terminations and prepare ROE’s
  • Perform periodic audits and monitor vacation accrual.
  • Liaise with Quebec Payroll Administrators, ADP Client Services, employees and third parties.
  • Perform month-end tasks and provide reports to Accounting.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
  • Government remittance reconciliations and year end duties.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual, (Fluent verbally and written in English and French). MUST
  • 1-2 years of Payroll experience
  • Currently enrolled in PCP or CPM designation
  • Previous experience with ADP – Performance Pack is preferable (People@work, Pay@work and exLM)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality & professionalism
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills and a good team-player
