Job summary

People First is seeking a Chinese speaking Compliance Manager and MLRO in London. The role is fully office-based with ASAP start, offering up to £96k plus bonus and benefits.

You will lead regulatory returns for FCA, BoE, HMRC, and FATCA/CRS, establish AML controls, and communicate with law enforcement as needed. Requires solid experience in financial markets regulation, strong English and Chinese skills, and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Solid experience across financial markets regulatory obligations.
• Excellent relationship and communication skills to drive regulatory compliant and commercially viable solutions.
• Ability to update fit-for-purpose compliance policies, procedures, and controls and perform compliance testing.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Good English communication; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and maintain policies and procedures to detect risk of non‑compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Advise and assist personnel responsible for regulated activities to comply with regulatory obligations.
• Ensure staff training on compliance and anti‑money laundering matters.
• Oversee the firm’s compliance with regulator rules on systems and controls to prevent misuse for money laundering or terrorist financing.
• Receive and evaluate suspicious activity reports and report to authorities as required.
