Bid Writer - Planned Maintenance & Refurbishment

Location: London / Essex / Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Bid Writer (minimum 3 years' experience) to join our Planned Maintenance and Refurbishment division. You'll play a key role in producing high-quality, persuasive bids for frameworks and projects within the social housing and public sector.

You’ll work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to develop clear, engaging tender responses that showcase our technical capability, social value, and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write and coordinate PQQs, ITTs, and framework submissions for planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  • Collaborate with estimators, operations, and design teams to gather information and craft compelling responses.
  • Ensure all bids are compliant, accurate, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Maintain and update a library of bid content, case studies, and project examples.
  • Support the Bid Manager in reviewing, editing, and formatting submissions to a high standard.
About You
  • Minimum 3 years' bid writing experience within construction, social housing, or maintenance.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; InDesign experience beneficial.
  • Collaborative and proactive with a strong understanding of public sector procurement.
