Overview

Anderson Knight are recruiting for a Bid Writer for a manufacturing client in South Lanarkshire. The role will be fully onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Research and understand client requirements, project scope, and specifications.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive bid proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Work closely with the technical and sales teams to gather information and develop winning strategies.
  • Ensure all proposals are compliant with client instructions, timelines, and regulations.
  • Edit and proofread bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
  • Manage multiple bids simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Assist in pricing strategy development and cost estimation for proposals.
  • Maintain and update a library of standard proposal content, case studies, and credentials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the bid process.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in bid writing, proposal writing, or a similar role (preferably within the manufacturing industry).
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to translate technical and complex information into clear, compelling content.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing process and related industries is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software (experience with tender portals is a plus).
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
