Anderson Knight are recruiting for a Bid Writer for a manufacturing client in South Lanarkshire. The role will be fully onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Research and understand client requirements, project scope, and specifications.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive bid proposals tailored to client needs.
- Work closely with the technical and sales teams to gather information and develop winning strategies.
- Ensure all proposals are compliant with client instructions, timelines, and regulations.
- Edit and proofread bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Assist in pricing strategy development and cost estimation for proposals.
- Maintain and update a library of standard proposal content, case studies, and credentials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the bid process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bid writing, proposal writing, or a similar role (preferably within the manufacturing industry).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to translate technical and complex information into clear, compelling content.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing process and related industries is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software (experience with tender portals is a plus).
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
