A fast-growing and agile infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join its expanding team in Essex. This is a key opportunity to lead and shape bids across highways and civil engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and delivery.

About the Role:

• Manage bids for both retained clients and new business, including major council contracts.
• Work within a well-established bids team of four, including senior bid writers and coordinators.
• Lead strategy and execution for bids in highways, street lighting, and civils.
• Collaborate with internal teams including social value, training, and senior leadership.
• Recent successful bids include projects in Greenwich and Hackney, with social value playing a central role.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong background in bid writing and bid management, ideally within highways or civil engineering.
• Understanding of council procurement and risk management.
• Excellent writing, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, flexible environment open to new ideas.
