Job description

We're looking for a talented Bid Manager with strong bid writing experience to join our dynamic Business Development team and help us win exciting new contracts.

As the Bid Manager, you'll lead the creation and coordination of outstanding bids that showcase the best of what Sodexo can offer. You'll co-design tailored solutions with our Business Development Directors, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), bringing together creativity, structure, and storytelling to deliver proposals that resonate with our clients.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on project management, collaboration and the satisfaction of seeing a winning bid come to life.

What you’ll do:
  • Drive the creation, development, and submission of high-value, complex bids and proposals.
  • Design and execute strategic bid plans that align with client needs and Sodexo's business goals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth bid delivery and operational excellence.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and shape successful outcomes.
  • Ensure all submissions meet the highest standards of compliance, commercial accuracy, and quality.
What we’re looking for:

To be successful in the role, you will have a strong track record as a bid manager. You should have a proven ability to manage and deliver complex, high-value bids, combined with strong negotiation, influencing and management skills.

  • APMP Foundation certification (or higher) is desirable.
  • Experience as a bid writer.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and natural charisma, able to build rapport and influence effectively.
  • Exceptional written communication skills - capable of crafting clear, concise, and engaging content that captivates clients.
  • Solid project management capability, with the organisational skills to manage multiple priorities (formal qualification not required).
