Job summary

John Wood’s Cycle Repair Centre in Bristol is hiring an experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join a busy, well-equipped workshop. You will perform servicing, repairs and fault finding across a range of bikes from everyday commuters to high-end models.

Join our team to work on gear/brake adjustments, hydraulic servicing and wheel building, while providing excellent customer service. We value practical experience and a genuine passion for bikes.

Qualifications

• Experience in the bicycle industry.
• Good understanding of modern bicycle technology.
• Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems.

Responsibilities

• Full bike servicing and safety checks.
• Repairs, maintenance and fault finding.
• Gear and brake adjustment.
• Hydraulic brake servicing.
• Drivetrain replacement and setup.
• Wheel building, truing and repairs.
• Headset, bottom bracket and bearing replacement.
• Suspension servicing and maintenance.
• E-bike diagnostics and servicing where appropriate.
• Building and preparing new bikes.
• Providing professional advice to customers when required.
