Job summary

AO is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to help build a modern cloud data platform and turn numbers into stories and insights. You’ll design visualisations, develop data models, and support the migration to a new data platform while maintaining documentation.

You will work with BI and Data Engineers, be involved in continuous improvement, and ensure security and quality across BI solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient with ETL processes (SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT) and BI tools.
• Skilled in data modelling and modern data platforms.
• Excellent SQL and database knowledge.

About The Role

Are you ready to help AO make smarter decisions and shape our data-driven future? As a Business Intelligence Developer, you’ll play a key part in building our modern cloud data platform, creating solutions that turn numbers into stories and insights. You’ll work with a friendly, energetic team, support your fellow BI Developers, and collaborate with Data Engineers to deliver real impact across the business. If you love solving puzzles, prototyping new ideas, and making data accessible for everyone, this is your chance to shine.

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You’ll be gathering requirements from stakeholders, designing intuitive visualisations, and developing robust data models that help AO run at pace. You’ll support our migration to a modern data platform, maintain clear technical documentation, and respond quickly to incidents and change requests. Continuous improvement is in your DNA—you’ll optimise performance, ensure security and compliance, and uphold coding standards to keep our BI solutions top-notch. Your work will help drive better decisions, faster action, and a culture where data powers possibilities.

A Few Things About You

• Proficient with ETL processes (SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT) and BI tools (Power BI, Sigma, etc.)
• Skilled in data modelling and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
• Excellent SQL and database knowledge
• Passionate about data, with a sharp eye for detail and quality
• Confident communicator, able to make complex info easy to understand
• Experienced in agile environments and a true team player
• Creative problem solver who loves a challenge
• Adaptable and comfortable with changeTech enthusiast, always curious about new tools and trends
• Meticulous and thorough in everything you do
• Bonus points for experience with AWS, AI tools, big data tech, or data governance
