Job summary

A local community organization based in Bradford is seeking an individual to drive community engagement as part of the Better Place programme. You will work closely with families to promote outdoor activity and lead initiatives that contribute to environmental improvements and health outcomes in the community. This role is vital for sustaining efforts and supporting future funding bids.

• Engage with families and community organizations for health improvements.
• Support Bradford Trident in environmental improvements.
• Provide evidence for funding bids and evaluate programme impact.

Job description

• To drive the engagement part of the Better Place programme.
• Work closely with families to encourage them to play and be active outdoors.
• To engage with expectant families, 0–3‑year‑old children, their families and key community organisations to bring about physical environmental improvements through co‑design and community participation processes with the aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes across three wards of Bradford.
• To Support Bradford Trident in its mission to bring about lasting environmental improvements through partnerships and contributing to the economic and social regeneration of the area.
• To support families to reflect on the past 10 years of Better Place and to provide evidence that will support future funding bids to sustain Better Place and to work as part of the wider Better Place programme team including to monitor and evaluate the impact of the programme delivery.
