Job summary

Hoop Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a qualified Best Interest Assessor (BIA) in Denbighshire, North Wales on an initial 3-month contract with 37 hours per week. The role involves DoLS assessments to support safeguarding duties, with office space in Ruthin or Rhyl and options for home working on admin tasks.

You will carry out Best Interests Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and ensure decisions are in the best interests of individuals, meeting statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification is required.
• Current registration with Social Care Wales or willingness to register.
• UK work experience as a registered Social Worker with at least 6 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Best Interests Assessments under the DoLS legislation.
• Support the local authority to meet statutory safeguarding duties and protect individuals.
• Conduct face-to-face assessments and liaise across Denbighshire.
