Bench Fitter / Neck Ring Repairer

Location: Rotherham

Shift Pattern: Rotating Days / Afternoons (Week of days 6am-2pm and week of afternoons 12pm-8pm, early finish on Friday: 11am/5pm)

Salary: £37,113

Are you an experienced Bench Fitter with a background in precision tooling and equipment repair? A well‑established manufacturing company in Rotherham is seeking a skilled individual to join their team in a key role supporting production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair neck rings and mould equipment to specification.
  • Prepare neck equipment in line with production plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of repair work.
  • Ensure sufficient equipment is available for continuous production.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels of neck ring components.
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding any issues.
  • Follow job specifications and instructions accurately.
  • Carry out additional duties within your skill set as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in glass mould equipment repair (highly desirable).
  • Strong bench fitting and toolroom background.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, grinding equipment, and gas welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
Qualifications
  • Apprenticeship trained in Toolroom or similar discipline preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications will be considered.
