Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, Manchester

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Behavioural Mentor to work in a high school for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The school is accessible by good road and public transport networks, with parking available on site.

Role Details:

• Providing tailored support to children with SEMH and SEN (special educational needs)
• Creating a safe environment that fosters fun, learning, and success
• Offering academic support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher

Candidate Requirements:

• Teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, either voluntarily or professionally
• Experience working with children in youth settings
• Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract: Temporary, with potential for permanent roles
• Hours: Term-time, Monday to Friday
• Start date: ASAP
