Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

Are you a patient, resilient, and understanding individual looking to make a positive impact on students’ lives? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Blandford Forum.

As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who experience social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them develop self-regulation, confidence, and positive learning attitudes.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Support students in developing coping strategies, resilience, and self-esteem.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to staff and parents where appropriate.
• Help prepare resources and classroom materials to support learning activities.
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.

Requirements

• CACHE Level 2 or 3 / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or related qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with students who have social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties (SEMH).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure.
• A passion for supporting young people in achieving their potential.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
