Velox Social Care is currently recruiting dedicated Support Workers across the Devon area, including Exeter, Taunton, Exmouth, Torquay, Plymouth to provide high-quality, person‑centred care to Children and Young People (CYP) in structured residential or community‑based settings.

Your Role
  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and personal development.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with your team, management, and external agencies.
  • Work a mix of long and short shifts, including days and nights, depending on the needs of the child or young person.
Requirements
  • The Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
  • 6+ months UK experience in a similar CYP setting.
  • 3 references (2 professional, 1 character).
  • An in‑date Physical Intervention Certificate (or willing to undertake Team Teach Level 2).
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
  • Flexibility is essential as some CYPs require a mix of both long and short shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates who are drivers, as we have regular transport shifts available in the area.
