Overview

Position: Behaviour Mentor. Location: South East London. Contract Type: Full-Time. Start Date: ASAP.

Responsibilities
  • Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis to improve behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
  • Build trusting relationships that foster personal growth and self-esteem
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to implement behaviour plans and strategies
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, responsibility, and reflection
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider pastoral and leadership team
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs (school, youth work, or similar)
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, compassionate, and consistent approach
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and build rapport
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a good sense of humour
