GSL Education are seeking a proactive Behaviour Support Officer to join a supportive and inclusive school in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils develop positive behaviours, resilience, and engagement in learning.

As a Behaviour Support Officer, you will:

  • Support pupils in managing challenging behaviour and developing social and emotional skills.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to provide targeted interventions and guidance.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Promote a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to inform future support and interventions.

Requirements for the Behaviour Support Officer role:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team under guidance.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
