Job Title: Behaviour Support Classroom Assistant

Location: Secondary School - Bradford

Contract Type: Supply (Post Half-Term Start - Until End of Term)

Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Support students in regulating emotions and developing positive coping strategies.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or care setting.
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain positive and proactive in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
