As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
  • Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs, helping them engage positively with their learning.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement effective support strategies.
  • Encourage positive behaviours and help students develop essential social and self‑regulation skills.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment where pupils feel valued and understood.
  • Record and monitor progress, contributing to the development of tailored learning plans.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
  • Previous experience in a school or support setting is desirable.
  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to managing behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A full DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
