About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work directly with pupils who require additional behavioural support, helping them engage positively in lessons and school life. You will play a key role in implementing strategies to manage behaviour, develop social skills, and foster independence, working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct behavioural support to pupils, implementing individual strategies and interventions
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and ensure all pupils can access learning effectively
  • Support emotional regulation and encourage positive social interactions
  • Work with pupils to develop independence and confidence in classroom and school routines
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to monitor progress and maintain consistency
  • Assist with personal care where required
