Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Hereford

We are currently recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to work within a secondary school in Hereford on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people with behavioural, emotional or social needs and who is passionate about helping students succeed in education.

Key responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural needs
  • Supporting students to remain engaged in learning and manage emotions
  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Monitoring behaviour and progress and providing feedback to school staff
Qualifications
  • Experience working with young people in a school, SEMH, or pastoral setting
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
