Behaviour Mentor – Coventry – ASAP

Salary: £80‑£105 per day (paid weekly)

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Long‑term role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join the Secondary Department of a thriving All‑Through School in Coventry. We are seeking someone who can make a real difference. A professional who is empathetic, proactive and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning through positive behaviour support, relationship building and restorative practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils' well‑being following statutory provisions
  • Provide targeted behaviour mentoring and pastoral support to students identified as needing additional guidance
  • Promote a calm, inclusive and respectful learning environment, supporting teachers in managing behaviour effectively
  • Support students in developing self‑regulation, confidence and resilience
  • Work closely with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure a consistent, holistic and child‑centred approach
  • Contribute to whole‑school strategies for positive behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor progress and evaluate the impact of interventions

Ideal candidate:
  • Commitment to safeguarding in line with the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2025) statutory guidance
  • Proven experience working with secondary‑aged pupils in a school or youth setting
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths is essential
  • Strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent
  • Passionate about student wellbeing, personal development and inclusive education
