Job summary

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?

Do you have experience supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties?

Or are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to specialise in this area?

We are currently seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and dynamic team in a London-based school. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
  • Support the implementation of individual behaviour plans and intervention strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders to support whole-school behaviour policies.
  • Develop positive relationships with students to promote confidence, engagement, and resilience.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging behaviour.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students learning and well-being.
