A recruitment agency is urgently seeking a skilled Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs at a Pupil Referral Unit in Merton. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and be available for an immediate start. Behaviour Mentor - Urgent Start

Tempest Resourcing is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Merton to recruit a skilled and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an urgent vacancy requiring someone ready to start immediately.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will :

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Help pupils develop coping strategies, emotional regulation skills and positive attitudes toward learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and senior leaders to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Use restorative and therapeutic approaches to support pupils' wellbeing and reintegration into education.
Candidate Requirements

We are looking for someone who :

  • Has experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, or within a PRU / SEMH setting.
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management, empathy and resilience.
