Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a full-time Behaviour Mentor in Tulse Hill to support students with challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be confident and committed, with skills in behaviour management. Responsibilities include supporting core subjects and promoting positive behaviour. Are you a confident and committed Behaviour Mentor looking for a new and rewarding challenge in a supportive school setting?

Ortus Recruitment is delighted to be working with a vibrant school in Tulse Hill, within the Lambeth Borough, seeking a full-time Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team immediately. This role is ideal for graduates, Teaching Assistants, and Learning Support Assistants who are passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, and who are eager to make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Role Requirements
  • Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, ideally in a primary school
  • Strong confidence in de-escalation and behaviour management strategies
  • Previous experience supporting students in KS2 or secondary settings (desirable)
  • Immediate availability
  • Ability to commute reliably to Tulse Hill
Role Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent support to pupils with challenging behaviour, both in class and around the school
  • Assist students with core subjects including Maths, English, and Science
  • Support and help deliver interventions tailored to individual needs, including those outlined in EHCPs
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to promote positive behaviour
  • Prior experience as a Behaviour Mentor is beneficial; Team Teach training is advantageous but not essential
