Behaviour Mentor - Urgent Start

Location: Merton

School Type: Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)

Start: Immediate

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide tailored one-to‑one and small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Help pupils develop coping strategies, emotional regulation skills and positive attitudes toward learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and senior leaders to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Use restorative and therapeutic approaches to support pupils' wellbeing and reintegration into education.
Candidate Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, or within a PRU/SEMH setting.
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management, empathy and resilience.
  • Can build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils.
  • Is available for an immediate start.
